As one often says when informing, I have good news and bad news. Let’s begin with the bad news. Piotr Ponte-Sypniewski (pen name: Ponte Ryūrui) has decided to leave Beyond Calligraphy to pursue other projects. I wish him the very best of luck in his new venture in publishing books.

Now that the bad news is out of the way, let’s move forward with the good news. Beyond Calligraphy will continue. This was a very difficult decision for me to make. My first impulse was to consider abandoning the project as I am not a calligrapher. However, with the encouragement and help of the Beyond Calligraphy team, Rona Conti and Sakiko Yanagisawa, I have decided to continue and take it Beyond.

Beyond Calligraphy will be going through some changes in the next few months. Please continue to follow us with enthusiasm as we reinvent ourselves. New articles coming soon.

実は、この決定をすることはとても難しいことでした。
私は書家ではないため、最初にPiotrの決心を聞いたときは、このサイトを閉じようと思っておりましたが、Beyond Calligraphyのメンバー(Rona Conti、柳澤咲子)の励ましと助けがあったので、私はこのサイトを継続することを決心しました。

Beyond Calligraphyは、今後の数ヶ月において新しいことを試みる予定ですので、どうぞ引き続きご愛読くださいますようよろしくお願い申し上げます。
