Dear Readers of Beyond Calligraphy

As one often says when informing, I have good news and bad news. Let’s begin with the bad news. Piotr Ponte-Sypniewski (pen name: Ponte Ryūrui) has decided to leave Beyond Calligraphy to pursue other projects. I wish him the very best of luck in his new venture in publishing books.

Now that the bad news is out of the way, let’s move forward with the good news. Beyond Calligraphy will continue. This was a very difficult decision for me to make. My first impulse was to consider abandoning the project as I am not a calligrapher. However, with the encouragement and help of the Beyond Calligraphy team, Rona Conti and Sakiko Yanagisawa, I have decided to continue and take it Beyond.

Beyond Calligraphy will be going through some changes in the next few months. Please continue to follow us with enthusiasm as we reinvent ourselves. New articles coming soon.

Sincerely and with Thanks,

Dave Gosine

Beyond Calligraphy

Beyond Calligraphy

Yes, that is both bad and good news. Thanks to Ponte for all he has shared with such enthusiasm and best wishes for the next stations along his Way.
And-we are looking forward to the next phases of Beyond Calligraphy.

Thank you so much for your comment Mel. I too am looking forward to the next phases of Beyond Calligraphy. I hope that you will consider uploading images of your art which relate to calligraphy on the Flickr page for the group as a start to participate more fully. We have many new features in process and will be sharing those soon with all readers. If you have an upcoming exhibition or announcement, there will also be a place to share that on a calendar. You have much to offer to the readers of BC and I look forward to working with you toward that goal.
